How do I find help for depression in the North Houston area?
I think I may be depressed. Ive been struggling for the past couple years with hoplessness, fatigue, sadness, and all kinds of other bad stuff. I thought I just had an attitude problem but no matter how hard I try…I can’t seem to fix it. I can’t be like this anymore. I don’t have any type of insurance nor do I have a way to get any, but I really feel I need to find some counseling.

I don’t know, find out why you you have been depressed and see what you can do to fix that…. or search for local non-profit counselors…social services..

I’m not sure if you’re familiar with the 59 and Aldine Mail Rt area, but you have two options…
#1 there is a clinic on the corner of Boreas and Aldine Mail Rt, you can apply for a gold card, and you will be able to make visits to the dr’s and get prescriptions for like $5. My parents both have gold cards and although these are not the best dr’s, it helps them alot. My dad is diabetic and I can only imagine what things would cost him without one.
#2 depending on your situation, you can apply for medicaid. this will help you go to the dr and get meds for free and they can recommend a therapist or counselor for you.
Either way, you really need to visit a dr to let them know whats going on with you. Depression is not something to be taken lightly.
