What is the best county to live in north of dallas?

I am looking to move into North Dallas. I am trying to decide between a bunch of different areas. Plano, Richardson, Carrollton, Addison, Kaufman, Farmers Branch, Highland Park, University Park, and Garland all seem to be nice and are areas I am interested in. I need help to figure out which areas are best to live in as far as schools, raising kids, and commute. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

best school district is Highland Park than Coppell. Also Plano is countable.
I recommend Coppell to raise a children. Small city, 20 min away from downtown and five star school district.

Highland Park is a very high dollar place to live, but it would be very well worth your money, if you have it! Plano is a smaller city compared to these others, so if you’re looking for a smaller school district to put your children in, that would be ideal. I don’t know if you are wanting to go any farther north, but I live in Grayson county, and it’s a lot smaller than these cities outside of Dallas, but there are still some schools that are decently sized. Just depends on the price range and size of the school that you are wanting to get your children into.

Well since your question is “best county to live in north of dallas” I would have say Collin County, but Denton County would be a close second.

Well you say county. I would think that Grayson County is really booming at the present time. They have alot of work right now. And they are a pleasant community. You have 3 towns kindof in a circle. Sherman, Denison, Pottsboro. Lots of work right now in Sherman. Just take hwy 75 and go north. You will be there in about 40 minutes from Dallas (635 area)

    I must agree with Barbara…

Grayson County is the best area right now.. affordable housing, good schools, light traffic, etc.

Cheaper than Plano or Frisco with all the same businesses right here at hand.

About 45 minutes north of Central/LBJ…..

Check out ‘ebby.com’ for available houses and prices….
