What kind of business would I call to get someone to document work procedures for developing training manuals?

I need a company that documents and designs training manuals and training procedures for other businesses. I don’t want to handle this myself; I want a professional business to do it. But I don’t know what they are called or where to start looking. Help?

If you google “companies that document procedures” that will get you started. It’ll pull up companies like Infopros, which seems to have a presence in several regions of the country. Companies like this one observe processes and are able to develop training materials from that.

If all else fails, you could simply go to a temp agency and hire a technical writer, who should be able to help you.
