Yes, if you are shipping priority, you can go to http://www.usps.com, click domestic shipping, & put in all the info. At the end of it, you will see where you can click carrier pick up. Then it will have you enter more info & the carrier will pick it up. Sometimes if you leave boxes by the front door without going through the website to request a pick up, the post man/women will just leave it there.

You can mail a package from you house. Just make sure that it is not over 13 ounces, with stamps on it. The mailman will be unable to take it. If you use a meter or get postage off of the internet, then if it is 13 ounces or over, you will be fine. This is all because of airline security after 9/11. If you do use stamps and it is heavier, just take it to the post office. Good Luck!

Of course it works but you need to make sure you have the item secured in the right type of packaging and that you put enough postage on the package. Postage is based on size and weight and destination.

Yes, you can put it in your mail box with the flag up. It still works. You may call the Post Office before 9:00 am and speak with your carrier. Tell him you have a package to be picked up. The Post Office has advertised free packaging and pick-up for Priority Mail.
