How important is it to have a phone number when looking for a job?

I have $120 to my name and just recently lost my job I really cant afford to keep my cell phone but I need a new job. I live with my sister and she dosent have a house phone. What are my chances of snagging a job with my email as my only contact info?

i think it is almost the same, if they will be interested with you, they will find a way to contact you or will ask you to contact them…

From the experiences I had with head hunter agencies and interviews, the ppl tend to call more so than email. Or they make all the calls first then the would email more as an “option” or “at convenience”. In several cases, I actually lost my chance cause they called and I missed it.

You will need a phone number for them to contact you. It is possible they will contact you by email but you are really limited your choices if you rely on email as your only means of communication. If I were you I would find someone with a phone that is willing to take a message for you.

Try this site or buy a pre paid cellphone and just add minutes to it.

    Good Luck

Howdy! I could have sworn I’ve been to this blog before but after checking through some of the post I realized it’s new to me. Nonetheless, I’m definitely delighted I found it and I’ll be book-marking and checking back frequently!
